Invictus Game Station, a LAN center located in Toronto, Canada, has announced plans to organize a Counter-Strike 2 tournament with a $1,200 CAD prize pool. The event is scheduled for August 9th and will take place on Yonge Street in downtown Toronto.
Initially designed for eight participating squads, the tournament has expanded its capacity. Organizers confirmed to Dust2.us that they now intend to accommodate twelve teams in the competition. The first-place finishers will claim $750 CAD from the total prize pool.
The tournament format includes a group stage where competitors will be divided into two brackets. Each team will face all other opponents within their group in best-of-one matches. Following the group stage, the top two teams from each bracket will advance to single-elimination playoffs featuring best-of-three series.
All matches will be completed within a single day at the venue. The LAN center's location on Yonge Street provides easy access for local participants and spectators interested in attending the event. Additional details about registration and tournament rules are available through the organizer's official channels.
