"Now I'm observing other entry players, absorbing knowledge from their approach to the role. That benefits me significantly," he shared. He specifically mentioned two players whose work he studies closely: Maksim "kyousuke" Lukin and Danil "donk" Kryshkovets, praising kyousuke as an excellent entry fragger.
The Chilean made history recently by becoming his country's first HLTV MVP winner following 9z's victory at XSE Pro League Guangzhou 2026. The recognition sparked widespread celebration back home. "Many people contacted me about the MVP. Chile doesn't have many Counter-Strike professionals, so this meant something special," he said. He received messages from unexpected sources, including Chilean esports athletes from different games.
Despite the prestigious individual honor, his self-assessment remains consistent. "I maintain the same standards as before. I focus on executing my responsibilities within matches. The award doesn't alter who I am—it's just recognition, nothing more."
Looking ahead to their China campaign, 9z face pressure after consecutive group-stage eliminations. The immediate goal is rebuilding confidence and securing a playoff berth. "Our primary objective is reaching the playoffs since we exited early in our last two tournaments," he stated. The ultimate target, however, remains tournament victory.
The squad previously identified themselves as near tier-one status after their Guangzhou triumph, but subsequent results exposed remaining weaknesses. Their Paris loss to magic highlighted the challenge: defeating similar opponents consistently is essential for breaking into the elite tier.
