HEROIC have officially completed their new Counter-Strike roster by signing Swedish player Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin, the organization confirmed on Tuesday.
Brollan's arrival marks the final piece of HEROIC's restructured lineup, which recently welcomed Antonio "MartinezSa" Martinez as primary AWPer and Joonas "doto" Forss in the coaching position. These additions came after the team parted ways with Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç, Simon "yxngstxr" Boije, and Tobias "TOBIZ" Theo.
The 23-year-old Swedish rifler arrives from MOUZ, where he was placed on the bench in April during a major roster overhaul that brought in Dorian "xertioN" Berman as the new in-game leader and promoted Adrian "xelex" Vincze from MOUZ NXT.
Brollan spent over a year serving as MOUZ's in-game leader, effectively replacing xfl0ud in that capacity. Now joining HEROIC, he'll transition away from leadership responsibilities and potentially return to the opening roles he excelled in during his fnatic days, where he earned 19th and 15th place finishes in HLTV's Top 20 players rankings for 2019 and 2020 respectively.
When questioned about Brollan's specific position within the team structure, HEROIC kept details deliberately unclear. The organization stated that while Brollan brings substantial experience and will contribute significantly to team discussions, he won't assume IGL responsibilities. They emphasized that with numerous changes to both the roster and support staff, individual roles will be determined through practice sessions and official matches.
HEROIC stressed their commitment to remaining competitive at the highest level, with ambitions focused on contending for championships among Counter-Strike's elite teams.
The newly assembled roster will make their debut at Stake Ranked Episode 3, a $100,000 tournament held in Barcelona, Spain, competing against organizations including paiN, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and 3DMAX.
