hampus Makes Comeback with Johnny Speeds

July 11, 20261 min read

Johnny Speeds has brought in Hampus "hampus" Poser to lead their squad, marking his return to professional Counter-Strike after stepping away from the scene five months ago.

The move reunites hampus with William "draken" Sundin, with whom he previously competed on Johnny Speeds' roster last year. The two players also share history from their time together at Ninjas in Pyjamas, where hampus served as captain.

The 27-year-old Swedish in-game leader last competed for 500 before departing in January. Following his exit, he took time off before announcing his search for a new team in February. During this period, he also shared that he had successfully overcome a cancer diagnosis from the previous year, declaring "I beat that shit GGEZ."

Hampus joins Johnny Speeds during a significant roster overhaul. The organization recently moved Adam "friberg" Friberg, Tim "nawwk" Jonasson, and Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson to the bench this Tuesday, opening spots for new blood.

The current Johnny Speeds lineup features Ludvig "HEAP" Alonso, Jacob "jocab" Nerheden, draken, and now hampus leading the charge. The team will look to rebuild their competitive form with the experienced tactician calling the shots.
