BESTIA have brought in Gustavo 'tge' Motta as their new head coach, the organization announced. Afonso 'shaRpy' Bastos will transition to an assistant coaching position as part of the restructuring.
The Brazilian tactician became available earlier in July following his departure from RED Canids. His exit came three months after the organization placed its entire roster on the bench and made all players transferable.
During his tenure with RED Canids, tge led the squad to notable appearances at the StarLadder Budapest Major and IEM Rio 2026. Before that, he coached 9z and achieved an impressive semifinal placement at IEM Dallas 2024.
BESTIA managed to retain star player Tomas 'tomaszin' Corna during the off-season despite transfer rumors connecting him with Legacy. However, the team has experienced inconsistent results recently. Under Nicolás 'buda' Kramer's in-game leadership, they fell to Sharks in the South American qualifier semifinals for BLAST Open Porto and secured second place behind Imperial at the Thunderpick World Championship 2026 South America Series 2.
The revamped BESTIA roster features tomaszin, cass1n, buda, nacho, and timo, with tge now steering the ship as head coach and shaRpy providing support as his assistant.
