George "Driftzz" Karkour has officially left the Celestial lineup, with both parties confirming the split was amicable. The announcement came on September 1st, marking the end of his four-month stint with the organization.
Driftzz became part of Celestial back in early May, joining forces with former Memories teammates Lucas "fatguy" Muncy and Matthew "Tiski" Matusovski. During his time with the squad, they competed primarily in grassroots events and regional competitions.
The team found success at local tournaments, reaching the quarterfinal stage at FRAG St. Clair and claiming victory at EMPIRE LAN in New York City. Their competitive run also included multiple CROSSFIRE seasons and ESEA Advanced campaigns. Most recently, Celestial secured a playoff berth in Advanced Season 58 with an 8-6 match record.
Following his exit, Driftzz stated he's actively seeking opportunities with Advanced-tier organizations and remains flexible regarding in-game positions. Meanwhile, Celestial has utilized Ryan "ryn" Crossland as a stand-in during recent ESEA fixtures, though no official replacement announcement has been made.
The remaining Celestial roster consists of Matthew "Tiski" Matusovskiy, Alex "Destro" Strojny, Kristian "xkold" DelSignore, and Joseph "Springgy" Binder.
