Esports organization Gaimin Gladiators has made the decision to bench its entire CS2 roster that competed at IEM Cologne Major 2026. The announcement was shared through the club's official social media channels.
All players and the team's analyst have been moved to inactive status. According to club representatives, they are open to considering transfer offers from other organizations interested in acquiring the players. Regarding the organization's future plans in Counter-Strike 2, Gaimin Gladiators stated they will be reevaluating their strategic approach to the title. Management promised to share updates once a final decision has been reached.
The organization launched its Counter-Strike division in 2024, with the most recent roster being assembled in early 2026. At IEM Cologne Major 2026, the squad struggled significantly, losing every match in the initial group stage and finishing the tournament in 31st-32nd place. Immediately following the championship, management announced the departure of Fernando "fer" Alvarenga, Jonathan "JOTA" Villian, and coach João "horvy" Horvath.
The complete roster shakeup signals a potential major rebuild or possible exit from the CS2 competitive scene for Gaimin Gladiators.
