July 8, 20262 min read

FUT have officially announced the benching of Laurențiu 'lauNX' Țârlea through a statement posted on X, marking the conclusion of the Romanian player's year with the Turkish esports organization.

The move follows earlier reports indicating that lauNX had requested the team to explore transfer opportunities ahead of the IEM Cologne Major. Speculation has since surfaced linking the 21-year-old rifler with HEROIC, potentially involving a swap deal that would see Yasin 'xfl0ud' Koç move to FUT.

While lauNX remained tight-lipped about specific details, he shared cryptic hints on social media suggesting his future destination is already decided. The player emphasized that parting ways sometimes leads to mutual growth, stating that his next chapter will be advantageous for everyone involved. He reassured fans that his signature energy and vocal presence will remain, promising they'll only get stronger.

During his tenure with FUT, lauNX replaced Drin 'makazze' Shaqiri and joined a core lineup previously known from NAVI Junior. His aggressive entry fragging style and passionate in-game demeanor became defining characteristics of the squad. The Romanian posted an impressive 1.10 rating while serving as the team's primary Opener, helping FUT establish themselves as consistent tier-one contenders throughout 2026.

The highlight of his time with FUT came at PGL Bucharest, where the team claimed victory and lauNX secured his first HLTV Exceptionally Valuable Player honor. FUT now continue with a four-man active roster featuring cmtry, Krabeni, dem0n, and dziugss, alongside coach coolio.
