FURIA have booked their place in the Esports World Cup playoffs following a decisive victory over 9z. The Brazilian squad took the series 2-1, claiming wins on Dust2 and Nuke while dropping Mirage in between.
The opening map saw FURIA in complete control on Dust2. They built a solid 7-5 advantage during their defensive side before completely dismantling 9z's defense with a dominant attacking performance, closing out the map 13-6 with relative ease.
Mirage proved to be a different story entirely. Matias "HUASOPEEK" Ibañez Hernandez put on a masterclass for 9z, supported brilliantly by Ignacio "meyern" Meyer. The Chilean duo kept their team competitive throughout FURIA's strong offensive showing, then seized control when switching sides to push 9z toward match point.
FURIA refused to go down quietly, mounting an impressive comeback led by Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato's exceptional play. Despite their efforts to force their way back into contention, 9z regained their composure in overtime to force a third map.
The final map on Nuke was anticlimactic as FURIA asserted their dominance from the opening round. KSCERATO continued his stellar form throughout the series, while his teammates delivered crucial contributions in tight clutch situations. Their collective performance secured FURIA's progression into the Esports World Cup playoff stage in convincing fashion.
