fnatic have officially confirmed the addition of 17-year-old rifler Volodymyr "mazay" Iorhachov to their Counter-Strike 2 roster. The young Ukrainian arrives from Spirit Academy, where he demonstrated impressive potential.
mazay will take the spot previously held by Viktor "Br4tkO" Kondratets, who has been benched. Br4tkO, who joined from Lazer Cats in March, posted a 0.97 rating during his tenure with the organization.
Expressing gratitude on X, mazay thanked Spirit Academy for the valuable experience gained during his time there. He emphasized his eagerness to apply that knowledge and commitment to helping fnatic achieve success.
The teenager initially joined Spirit Academy during summer 2025 as a replacement for Maksim "kyousuke" Lukin but had to step away due to academic commitments in Germany interfering with practice schedules. Despite the brief stint, coach Dmitry "S0tF1k" Forostyanko praised mazay as the organization's future, predicting his return when circumstances allowed. That prediction materialized in February 2026 when mazay rejoined following a roster restructure.
mazay represents fnatic's second off-season acquisition, following Artem "cairne" Mushynskyi's arrival from Ninjas in Pyjamas earlier this month. The pair bring much-needed firepower to a lineup that ranked 50th in Europe at the Cologne Major invite cutoff, sitting nearly 300 Valve points short of qualification.
The revamped fnatic roster now features Rodion "fEAR" Smyk, Artem "cairne" Mushynskyi, Dmytro "jambo" Semera, Nikita "jackasmo" Skyba, and mazay, with Miks "Independent" Siliņš coaching.
