FaZe have punched their ticket to the EWC playoffs after dismantling Legacy in a commanding two-map series between VRS Top 10 teams. The victory guarantees FaZe a place among the tournament's final 16 squads.
The opening map Cache saw FaZe establish early control, racing to a 9-3 advantage highlighted by an ace from Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski. Legacy struggled to mount resistance despite converting their second pistol round into consecutive victories. At 10-6, Jason "JBOEN" Boe Nielsen delivered a crucial four-kill round that extinguished Legacy's momentum and pushed FaZe toward a 13-6 finish.
Mirage presented a different narrative initially, as Legacy capitalized on another pistol triumph to seize the early lead. FaZe battled back to level at 5-5, though newcomer Ryan "Neityu" Aubry struggled through a 0-7 start. Leading 7-5 at halftime, FaZe dropped yet another pistol but remained unfazed. IGL Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken clutched a critical 1v1 to edge ahead 8-7, before an AWP confrontation between JBOEN and Santino "try" Rigal saw the Legacy player equalize.
What followed was complete domination. FaZe suddenly found another gear, reeling off five consecutive rounds to close out the map and series. Twistzz finished Mirage with an outstanding 24 eliminations and a 2.28 rating, anchoring his team's playoff qualification.
The EWC playoffs kick off next week.
