FaZe Moves broky to the Bench Amid Roster Changes

July 7, 20262 min read

FaZe Clan has officially benched Helvijs "broky" Saukants, removing the Latvian sharpshooter from their starting lineup. This decision comes shortly after reports emerged linking Gentle Mates' Antonio "MartinezSa" Martinez to the American organization.

The talented AWPer has spent almost his entire professional career with FaZe since joining in 2019. During his tenure, he accumulated an impressive trophy cabinet including the PGL Antwerp Major championship and an Intel Grand Slam title. His individual achievements include four consecutive Top 20 Players of the Year rankings from 2021 through 2024, along with three MVP awards and 11 tournament victories.

However, recent performances haven't met expectations. The Latvian experienced a decline in form during 2025 as FaZe struggled collectively. He was briefly benched in May before returning in July, but neither he nor the squad managed to regain their previous level. The organization is now pursuing changes at multiple positions, seeking replacements for both their AWPer role and Finn "karrigan" Andersen.

Time is running short for FaZe to finalize their roster, with the XSE Pro League scheduled to begin July 1 in Shanghai, China. The current active lineup includes Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken, David "frozen" Čerňanský, Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski, with Niclas "enkay J" Krumhorn serving as coach.
