EYEBALLERS selected FaZe as their bounty opponent aiming to recreate their surprising January victory, but FaZe demonstrated significantly improved form in BLAST Bounty Season 2 compared to their Season 1 showing. This victory represents FaZe's consecutive win over the Swedish squad, having previously beaten them in Guangzhou.
The first map, Mirage, saw both teams evenly matched through the opening half with a 6-6 scoreline. Despite dropping the second-half pistol round, FaZe rallied to reach match point at 12-9. EYEBALLERS mounted a late comeback with three straight defensive rounds to force overtime, but FaZe dominated the extra rounds with a perfect performance to close out 16-12.
Stand-in player Simon "yxngstxr" Boije and FaZe rifler Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski both delivered strong individual performances with 27 eliminations apiece on Mirage. Pietruszewski distinguished himself with an impressive 1.65 rating, the highest in the server.
The second map, Dust2, belonged to FaZe from the start. AWPer Jason "JBOEN" Boe Nielsen led the charge on the T-side as FaZe built a commanding 9-3 advantage. EYEBALLERS managed a slightly improved attacking performance of their own, but gaining only two additional rounds proved insufficient. The map concluded 13-8 in FaZe's favor, ending EYEBALLERS' bounty aspirations.
