FaZe Clan has made the decision to bench their primary AWPer Helvijs "broky" Saukants, marking the second time this year the Latvian player finds himself on the sidelines. Sources indicate the organization is exploring options with Gentle Mates' Antonio "MartinezSa" Martinez as a potential replacement.
This isn't broky's first stint on the bench in 2025. Earlier this year, he was sidelined for two months, missing the BLAST.tv Austin Major before making his return for the StarLadder Budapest Major. However, his comeback hasn't delivered the results FaZe hoped for.
The 25-year-old's performance has been underwhelming throughout the year. He's posted a 0.98 rating across 84 maps against all competition, with that figure dropping to 0.94 over 68 maps when facing Top 30 teams. These struggles contributed significantly to FaZe's absence from IEM Cologne 2026 Major, breaking the organization's streak of consecutive Major appearances.
FaZe now faces a double challenge: securing a new AWPer while also finding a replacement for Finn "karrigan" Andersen before the second half of 2026 kicks off. The clock is ticking, with XSE Pro League 2026 starting July 1st.
The current FaZe roster includes Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken, David "frozen" Čerňanský, Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski, and coach Niclas "enkay J" Krumhorn, with broky now listed as inactive.
