Falcons have punched their ticket to the ESL Pro League Season 24 playoffs following an intense three-map showdown against Natus Vincere. The series ended with Falcons victorious after maps on Inferno, Anubis, and Mirage.
Led by Finn "karrigan" Andersen, Falcons finish their group stage run with an impressive 3-1 record and will now prepare for their playoff matches at Spodek Arena. Meanwhile, Natus Vincere drop to a precarious 2-2 standing, facing elimination in what represents their final tournament opportunity.
The opening map, Inferno, saw Natus Vincere hold their ground with a 6-6 offensive performance. However, their CT-side completely collapsed in the second half. Falcons seized control by stringing together seven consecutive rounds, with Nikola "NiKo" Kovač delivering an outstanding 2.74-rated performance to close out a convincing 13-6 win.
Anubis told a different story. Despite Falcons managing eight rounds on the challenging CT side, Natus Vincere mounted a strong defensive effort that pushed the contest into overtime. NAVI shook off their earlier struggles and dominated the extra rounds, taking the map 19-15 to force a decisive third game.
The final map, Mirage, belonged to Falcons' star duo. NiKo and Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov stepped up when it mattered most, combining for 45 eliminations as Falcons sealed a 13-8 victory to advance.
