FACEIT has rolled out an innovative addition to its anti-cheat arsenal, shifting focus from traditional software detection to behavioral analysis of in-game actions.
The newly implemented machine-learning system studies authentic human gameplay patterns from FACEIT matches to establish a baseline for legitimate player inputs. This approach allows the system to distinguish between natural human movements and artificially generated commands.
When the system identifies player inputs that fall outside the realm of human capability, the Human Input Detection feature raises a red flag. However, FACEIT emphasizes that no immediate action is taken based on a single incident. Instead, the flagged data is cross-referenced with additional behavioral information collected from the same player to ensure accuracy before any measures are applied.
According to FACEIT's testing data, this behavioral detection method has demonstrated strong results against emerging cheat technologies, particularly AI-driven cheating tools that have become increasingly sophisticated.
The Human Input Detection feature will go live with the Season 9 update launching on August 5th. Players won't need to take any additional steps, as the new layer integrates seamlessly with the existing FACEIT Anti-Cheat system, working in tandem to provide enhanced protection without requiring separate installation or manual activation.
