Cheaters will face a five-year suspension under the new rules. Those attempting to evade bans will receive an additional two years per attempt, eventually leading to a permanent account closure. This represents a dramatic shift from previous enforcement approaches.
Smurfing violations now carry a three-month ban for first-time offenders, with repeat violations escalating from one year up to permanent suspension. Stream sniping follows a similar escalation pattern, beginning with a six-month ban that can ultimately become permanent for persistent violators.
The platform is also adjusting its approach to community conduct. While players will have room for lighthearted banter, any actual abuse will result in at least a three-day suspension. More serious offenses like severe toxicity and griefing maintain their seven-day minimum ban, though FACEIT may now issue longer initial penalties based on severity assessment.
