Fresh data from FACEIT's Season 9 has uncovered interesting insights about the age distribution of top-tier Counter-Strike players. The matchmaking platform's analysis shows a clear pattern in which age group excels at the highest competitive level.
The statistics reveal that the percentage of Level 10 players steadily increases with age, peaking at 26 years old. This age group leads the rankings with an impressive 29,895 players sitting at the platform's highest skill tier. Following closely behind are players aged 24, 25, 23, and 22, filling out the second through fifth positions respectively.
Interestingly, no other age bracket reaches the 25,000-player milestone. Only ages 23, 24, and 25 manage to surpass the 20,000 threshold, highlighting the concentration of elite talent within this narrow age range. After the peak at 26, there's a noticeable decline, with 27-year-old players dropping to sixth place in the rankings.
These findings emerged three weeks into FACEIT Season 9, which introduced another soft ELO reset. This adjustment brought high-ranked Level 10 players closer to lower-ELO competitors within the same tier, potentially affecting the competitive landscape across all age groups.
