Esports World Cup 2026 Grand Final Relocates to Accor Arena

July 28, 20262 min read

Organizers have announced that Championship Sunday of the Esports World Cup will be held at the Accor Arena, the same venue that previously hosted the BLAST.tv Major Paris.

The tournament was relocated from its traditional home in Riyadh to Paris in May due to the ongoing conflict with Iran. When tickets for the grand final at the Paris Expo completely sold out, organizers decided to upgrade to a larger capacity venue for the final day.

The majority of the competition will still take place at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Only the championship finale will move to the Accor Arena, where Vitality claimed their first Major victory back in 2023.

The competition features a massive prize pool of two million dollars for Counter-Strike 2, with 32 participating teams. Four of these squads will earn their spots through an open qualifier held on LAN. Sixteen teams will advance to the playoff stage, culminating in the grand final scheduled for August 23 at the arena.

After four weeks of competition across multiple esports titles, Natus Vincere currently leads the overall standings. The top position carries an enormous seven million dollar prize if they maintain their lead. Vitality sits in third place, while Falcons holds sixth position in the lucrative rankings.
