Qualification for the 32-team field came through multiple pathways. Twenty-one organizations received direct invitations based on their VRS global rankings. Six additional spots were distributed regionally, with the top two teams from North America, South America, and Asia each earning their place. The Asian Champions League victors claimed another berth.
The final four positions were determined through an intense Last Chance Qualifier held on-site in Paris. Sixty-four squads battled through a double-elimination group phase followed by single-elimination playoffs, all contested on LAN with best-of-three series throughout.
This third annual Esports World Cup boasts a $2 million prize pool, representing nearly double the previous year's purse. Combined with crucial VRS ranking points at stake, it stands as arguably the season's premier tournament. The MongolZ captured the 2025 title, while NAVI claimed championship honors in 2024.
