duhpe Leaves KODEX to Recover from Injuries After Drunk Driver Incident

September 4, 20261 min read

Raymon "duhpe" Carrillo has officially parted ways with KODEX, announcing his decision stems from both conflicting team visions and the necessity to heal from severe injuries he suffered in a recent accident.

On the morning of August 29th, duhpe was hit by a drunk driver in an incident that left him with significant injuries including a broken scapula, bruised lungs, and a head contusion. The accident forced him to sit out FRAG Midwest: St. Louis and caused considerable physical pain even while attempting to play.

Duhpe had joined the Foxtrot lineup on July 14th and quickly made an impact, helping push the team into the ESEA Advanced Season 58 playoffs with a solid 9-5 regular season record. Despite the team's playoff run ending in a 0-2 defeat against For Fun, duhpe showed his individual skill by leading his team in frags with 25 kills combined across Cache and Ancient.

Following his departure, KODEX's active roster now consists of Dalton "dopplahs" Hanley, John "Toasty" Hill, Nick "kenny" Gomulka, and Joe "JSP" Chmielewski as they look to fill the vacancy and continue competing.
