Team Spirit's superstar Danil "donk" Kryshkovets secured yet another HLTV MVP medal following his team's triumph at BLAST Open Porto, edging out teammate Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov for the honor.
The victory carried extra weight as Spirit defeated MOUZ in the grand final, settling the score after falling to them at BLAST Bounty Season 2 previously. "It's an amazing feeling because it was the last team that we have not beaten yet," donk shared with HLTV post-match. "We've beaten all the top teams, the top seven I would say, and the only team that we didn't beat was MOUZ."
The Russian rifler gave credit where it was due, acknowledging MOUZ's earlier win was earned through hard work and the strong performance of their new roster additions. However, this time around, Spirit dominated across all four maps played.
When asked about reaching peak performance under IGL Boris "magixx" Vorobiev, donk remained measured in his response. "The hardest part of being at the top is staying at the top," he explained. "We will see how we will perform after such victories, at our next tournament in one month in Katowice, EPL."
The young star credited improved teamwork and problem-solving for the decisive victory, noting Spirit has evolved significantly as a unit. He believes their upcoming EPL appearance will truly test whether they've achieved their highest level under their new in-game leader.
Interestingly, donk prefers watching his teammates celebrate with the trophy rather than lifting it himself, showing his team-first mentality.
