Canadian player Christophe "Dodge" Mailhot has departed from Arctic Ace's Counter-Strike roster merely seven days after joining the team. The organization addressed the situation on social media, cryptically telling supporters to "let us cook" while no replacement has been revealed yet.
The 22-year-old explained to Dust2.us that the team's practice and competition schedule faces serious disruption due to ongoing wildfires across Canada. Two Arctic Ace players work as firefighters, and their increased professional commitments will significantly impact the squad's ability to maintain consistent practice routines in the coming months.
"Practice time is gonna be very little and ESEA might be reschedule after reschedule or just entirely missed," Dodge stated. He believes the team plans to recruit someone who isn't in a hurry and can accommodate the limited practice opportunities.
Following his departure, Dodge has accepted an invitation to join Babag, reuniting with his former Omen teammate Brandon "yuush1" Nguyen. The squad currently holds a perfect 2-0 record in ESEA Open division.
Arctic Ace's active roster now consists of Jon "cloudy" Kalacis, Eric "depend" Dee, Andrew "shiraz" McGrath, and Lukasz "Lukasz" Brodowicz as they search for their fifth member.
