Abdul 'degster' Gasanov has directly responded to community theories suggesting he was considered for G2's roster changes. The player made it clear that contrary to popular speculation, G2 never made contact with him.
"Guys, I see your theories about G2. My life situation had no impact on this whatsoever. They didn't contact me – not at all. I don't know the reasons, but that's completely normal," the streamer stated.
This clarification comes after degster previously shared difficult personal news in June. His father and wife Anastasia Butkova were both diagnosed with cancer. The former Falcons sniper admitted he couldn't remember a worse period in his life.
Meanwhile, G2 recently announced their own roster adjustment. The organization benched Alvaro 'SunPayus' Garcia and brought in Ukrainian rifler Artem 'r1nkle' Moroz from Ninjas in Pyjamas as their new sniper.
Degster's statement effectively shuts down speculation that his personal circumstances influenced G2's decision-making process, emphasizing that the organization simply never pursued him as an option.
