Veteran Danish coach Casper "ruggah" Due has announced his retirement from professional coaching, bringing an end to a career spanning more than a decade behind some of Counter-Strike's most prominent teams.
The 38-year-old tactician made his mark on the scene with an EPICENTER championship victory alongside Dignitas. His coaching journey continued through stints with several notable organizations including North, OpTic, and OG, before landing his most recent position with Astralis.
His tenure with Astralis came to an end following disappointing results at the IEM Cologne Major, where the organization opted to make changes. The team parted ways with ruggah and brought in Filip "NEO" Kubski as his replacement. During the summer months that followed, ruggah did not pursue opportunities with any new rosters.
Instead of returning to a coaching role, he transitioned into broadcast work, appearing as an analyst on the BLAST Open Porto desk. The retirement announcement came just one day after the tournament wrapped up, signaling his decision to permanently step away from coaching duties.
With over ten years of experience guiding professional teams, ruggah leaves behind a legacy that includes championship victories and extensive work developing talent across multiple tier-one organizations in the competitive CS scene.
