North American Counter-Strike team Celestial has announced the departure of in-game leader Joseph "Springgy" Binder, as revealed by teammate Matthew "Tiski" Matusovskiy on social media.
This marked Springgy's debut campaign in ESEA Advanced, representing his first competitive stint with the Celestial roster. However, the collaboration proved short-lived as internal difficulties mounted throughout the season.
In an official statement provided to Dust2.us, the organization highlighted persistent communication breakdowns and a deteriorating team atmosphere as primary factors behind the decision. The team emphasized that recent incidents only amplified existing problems that had been developing over time.
Celestial's management explained that after evaluating the situation comprehensively, they concluded a roster adjustment would serve the team's long-term interests better than attempting to resolve the ongoing conflicts.
Despite the split, Celestial expressed gratitude toward Springgy for his contributions and commitment during his tenure, extending well wishes for his future endeavors in competitive Counter-Strike.
The remaining active roster now features Matthew "Tiski" Matusovskiy, Alex "Destro" Strojny, and Kristian "xkold" DelSignore. The team will need to identify a new in-game leader and potentially additional players to complete their lineup for upcoming competitions.
