Iowa Stormboar have confirmed the exit of head coach Caedon "MAD" Zube, marking the end of his tenure with the organization. MAD had previously revealed his plans to explore new opportunities on May 19th, making today's announcement the official conclusion of that process.
MAD joined Iowa Stormboar (formerly known as InControl) back in June 2025, guiding the roster through 13 months of competitive play. Under his leadership, the team made consistent progress in the Valve Regional Standings, steadily improving their position over more than a year of competition.
However, recent months proved challenging for the squad. After placing William "aelor" Africano and Anthony "ayaneuu" Scheuer on the inactive roster in May, the team struggled to establish a stable five-man lineup. They experimented with various combinations featuring Dalton "dopplahs" Hanley, Jérémy "BiNoX" Chiasson, Nazar "H0NeST" Stefinko, Stanley "calamity" Chiu, alongside aelor in different configurations.
With MAD's departure now official, Iowa Stormboar face a critical period ahead. The organization must secure two permanent players to complete their active roster and recruit a new head coach before ESEA Season 58 begins. Currently, the team's confirmed active members are Ty "TyRa" Aron, Justin "jsfeltner" Feltner, and Brett "Scorchyy" Coolen, with aelor and ayaneuu remaining on the inactive list.
