Counter-Strike 2 developers have revealed that Cache will be added to the official map pool for the fifth season of Premier mode, replacing Overpass. The announcement was made by Valve staff on their official X account.
Valve typically introduces significant updates to CS2 at the start of each new Premier season. When the fourth season launched on January 21st, the developers rolled out changes to Anubis, modified knife sounds, enhanced movement mechanics, and reduced prices for submachine guns. The third Premier season ran for 188 days.
Cache was originally added to Counter-Strike 2 back in April, but wasn't included in the competitive map pool at that time. Now, with the upcoming fifth season, the classic map will finally make its way into Premier's official rotation, giving players a fresh tactical playground while Overpass takes a break from competitive play.
This rotation keeps the competitive scene dynamic and gives players new strategic opportunities to explore as they climb the Premier ranks.
