Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras, recently benched by Luminosity, has gone public with serious allegations against his previous team Monte, claiming the organization owes him substantial sums in unpaid compensation.
The Lithuanian player took to X to reveal that Monte owes him "tens of thousands of dollars" stemming from delayed salary payments, performance bonuses, sticker revenue, and tournament winnings. He further alleged that several other former teammates and coaching staff remain unpaid as well.
The allegations surfaced after Monte's official X account appeared to mock Bymas following his benching from Luminosity. This came on the heels of a YouTube video released by Monte CEO Dmytro Vovk, in which he criticized Bymas, Aurélien "afro" Drapier, and Oscar "AZUWU" Bell for allegedly keeping the organization uninformed about their planned departure to Luminosity.
Relations between the parties have clearly deteriorated, with Bymas stating they left an "organization we no longer trusted to consistently meet its financial obligations." Monte countered by claiming there was merely "a two-week delay" in their final payment to the player.
However, Monte's statement to HLTV may have inadvertently supported Bymas' claims, acknowledging payment delays caused by issues with transfers and sponsorship payments. The organization insisted all players were kept informed and never personally complained.
The dispute continues to unfold on social media, with Monte's accounts actively defending their position while Bymas' former teammates have yet to publicly comment on the matter.
