FaZe Clan has confirmed that Helvijs "broky" Saukants remains on their bench and under contract, despite releasing a farewell video that initially suggested his departure from the organization.
The Latvian AWPer was moved to the bench for the second time on June 25th, making way for young Danish player Jason "JBOEN" Boe Nielsen. This roster change came as part of a major rebuild following Finn "karrigan" Andersen's exit last month.
broky's seven-year tenure with FaZe included significant achievements. Alongside karrigan, he helped secure ten S-tier LAN championships, including the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 trophy. He also earned recognition on HLTV's Top 20 list for four consecutive years from 2021 through 2024, establishing himself as a respected star AWPer.
However, recent performance struggles have marked his career. In 2025, his rating dropped to 1.04 across 173 maps, then plummeted further to 0.98 over 84 maps this year. These career-low statistics, combined with FaZe missing qualification for the IEM Cologne 2026 Major, made roster changes inevitable.
With the summer shuffle largely concluded and limited opportunities available, broky's next move in Counter-Strike 2 remains uncertain. The time on the sidelines could provide him an opportunity to reset mentally before the next shuffle period following the PGL Singapore 2026 Major in December.
