The draft show for BLAST Bounty Season 2 semi-finals has wrapped up, revealing the matchups that will determine which teams advance to the grand final.
As the higher seed between themselves and FaZe, Astralis held the power to select their opponent from the two remaining teams: Spirit and MOUZ. The Danish organization ultimately decided to face MOUZ in their semi-final bout.
However, the decision wasn't unanimous within the squad. Coach Filip "NEO" Kubski disclosed that in-game leader Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen had a different perspective on the matter. "He feels confident against Spirit," NEO explained when discussing HooXi's preference. "Also there is a huge bounty and VRS, right? The problem is they have an early game and it's pretty late now, so that complicates things."
Astralis' choice means FaZe will square off against Spirit, widely regarded as the tournament favorites. Spirit entered the LAN finals as the top-ranked team among the competitors, and despite the grueling battles the other three teams endured to reach the semi-finals, that status remains intact.
The stage is now set for two compelling semi-final matchups that will determine who advances to fight for the championship trophy.
