Betclic have announced the addition of Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak to their Counter-Strike 2 lineup, bringing the 22-year-old AWPer back to his Polish roots after a stint with Liquid.
The young sniper originally joined Liquid from Illuminar in July 2024, where he initially impressed with his aggressive approach to AWPing. However, his performance declined over subsequent months, leading to his replacement by Georgi "Jorko" Mitev earlier this summer.
Despite his departure from Liquid, ultimate has already proven his synergy with Betclic players. He represented Poland alongside several Betclic members at the Esports Nations Cup, successfully helping the national team secure qualification.
Betclic themselves have been performing well, notably claiming victory at Stake Pulse where they defeated Liquid and Jorko in the grand final of the $60,000 LAN tournament.
The Polish organization recently went through significant roster adjustments, renewing contracts with Wojciech "Prism" Zięba and Patryk "Demho" Tomaszewski in July. ultimate now fills the AWPer vacancy left by Olek "hades" Miskiewicz's departure.
Currently ranked 46th in the VRS rankings, ultimate will be looking to recapture the form that originally attracted Liquid's attention two years ago. The Polish squad presents an opportunity for him to rebuild his reputation within a familiar environment.
The complete Betclic roster now features ultimate, Demho, Prism, Mateusz "ex1st" Witman, and Konrad "Qlocuu" Klocek, with Grzegorz "SZPERO" Dziamałek serving as coach.
