BESTIA parts ways with tomaszin ahead of MIBR switch

August 26, 20262 min read

BESTIA has confirmed the departure of Tomas "tomaszin" Corna, with reports indicating he will join MIBR as brnz4n's replacement.

The move reduces the Argentine organization's active roster to just three players, following Ignacio "nacho" Rodriguez's benching on August 18.

tomaszin's tenure with BESTIA spanned more than three years, during which he maintained a 1.16 rating and captured the DraculaN Season 4 championship. The 22-year-old rifler turned heads internationally with a stellar 1.42 rating across nine maps at the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR, though the team ultimately fell short with a 2-3 record.

Legacy previously pursued tomaszin during the summer break after missing out on Felipe "insani" Yuji, who is now expected to become his teammate at MIBR. Those negotiations stalled when Vinicius "n1ssim" Pereira rejoined Legacy's active lineup.

BESTIA endured a demanding qualification push for the IEM Cologne Major earlier this year, competing at numerous LAN events. Despite back-to-back runner-up finishes, their journey ended with a 3-4th place exit at Urban Riga Open Season 4.

The squad has dropped to 80th globally and 13th in the Americas on the VRS rankings, falling well short of the qualification threshold for PGL Major Singapore. With only three active players remaining, a roster rebuild looms.

"There are players who leave a lifelong mark, and without a doubt, tomaszin is one of them," BESTIA stated. "Today, we have to part ways — we'll stop being your teammates to become your #1 fans as you shine and chase your dreams."

BESTIA's current roster includes Cássio "cass1n" Santos, Nicolás "buda" Kramer, Cristhian "timo" Perez, and coach Gustavo "tge" Motta.
