BC.Game have punched their ticket to Stake Pulse Beat III in Stockholm, Sweden, claiming the final available spot at the $80,000 tournament running October 12-17. The team led by Emil "Magisk" Reif overcame Sashi with a 2-1 victory in the grand final of the second open qualifier.
The road to qualification wasn't smooth for BC.Game. Their first attempt ended in disappointment after falling to Xcity, a squad sitting at #325 on the VRS rankings. In their second run, they faced another challenge in the semi-finals, holding off a comeback attempt from Phantom before mounting a reverse-sweep against Sashi to seal their spot.
Recent weeks have been tough for BC.Game online. The squad crashed out early in both PGL Masters Bucharest open qualifiers and the IEM Beijing open qualifier. Despite these setbacks, their VRS ranking remained relatively stable since two eliminations occurred before HLTV-covered rounds began, keeping their Singapore Major ambitions alive.
The struggles highlight that BC.Game's new lineup still needs time to gel and develop consistency. Their recent results include a championship at Elisa Breakout Series 1 and a 9-16th place finish at the Esports World Cup Open Qualifier.
At the Stockholm LAN, BC.Game will face strong competition from other high-level teams including Astralis, B8, Liquid, and HEROIC.
