BC.Game have secured the championship at Elisa Esports Breakout Series 1, defeating ENCE with a commanding 2-0 scoreline in the grand final of the Finnish competition worth $17,163. The maps ended 13-11 on Mirage and 16-13 on Nuke.
This tournament served as the first appearance for BC.Game's restructured lineup, featuring Emil Reif taking on in-game leading duties and the return of the Mongolian partnership of Ayush Batbold and Azbayar Munkhbold. These roster changes meant the squad had to rebuild their ranking position from the ground up.
The team's journey through the round-robin stage was spotless, propelling them to rank 150. Exceptional performances from Munkhbold and Oleksandr Kostyliev, who posted 1.84 and 1.76 ratings respectively, carried BC.Game past SINQU in the semifinals to arrange a showdown with ENCE, who had similarly dominated Group A before eliminating HAVU.
The final proved competitive throughout. On Mirage, ENCE established an early advantage and pushed ahead 11-6 after winning the second pistol round. However, the Mongolian pair sparked a defensive resurgence that secured BC.Game's map selection.
Nuke saw BC.Game recover from an early deficit to lead 7-5 at halftime, extending it further after the break. ENCE's developing roster displayed resilience, forcing overtime after being down 9-12. The decisive moments came in extra rounds when Kostyliev delivered a spectacular four-kill clutch in a 1v3 situation, followed by Denis Sharipov's 1v2 clutch that sealed the championship.
Munkhbold finished as the tournament's top performer with a 1.48 rating across seven maps. The victory elevated BC.Game to 84th in the rankings, placing them inside the top 100. Their next challenge will be the Esports World Cup Open Qualifier scheduled for August 7-9 in Paris, where 128 teams will compete for four spots at the main event featuring a $2,000,000 prize pool.
