Leroy "OrangeZ" Burns has announced his departure from North American ESEA Advanced team DETONATE, ending a coaching tenure that lasted just two months. The Australian tactician joined the roster back in July, stepping in to replace Taylor "ioRascal" Hays who had to step back due to scheduling conflicts.
Before his time with DETONATE, OrangeZ had a brief coaching stint with Zomblers and was actively involved in the Australian Counter-Strike scene. His departure comes as the team continues to build momentum in the competitive landscape.
Speaking about his decision, OrangeZ explained that he chose to leave in order to evaluate his future opportunities in coaching. He praised team in-game leader Matthew "tatm" Munro, highlighting his potential for success. The coach expressed his willingness to work with any team as he focuses on developing his coaching skills and advancing his career.
DETONATE has been performing well recently, breaking into the Top 20 of the North American VRS rankings following a solid performance at FRAG Midwest: St. Louis. OrangeZ was unable to attend that event due to being based in Australia.
The team's current roster includes Austin "chante" Ganster, Matthew "tatm" Munro, Timothy "carN" Adams, Max "Maxuel" Barutt, and Milan "CrePoW" Libbrecht, with Aidan "Feral" Wood listed as inactive.
