Danish esports organization Astralis made a humorous proposal on social media regarding their vacant coaching position for their Counter-Strike 2 roster. The club tagged Team Spirit on X with an unusual request.
Following the conclusion of IEM Cologne Major 2026, Astralis posted that only one realistic candidate remains for their coaching role. They directly addressed Team Spirit, claiming to have already sent a buyout offer for Zhab Zhabyч and asking for a response.
For context, Zhab Zhabyч is a plush frog toy that became famous during Spirit's Major campaign. The mascot appeared at matches while the team's actual coaches, Sergey hally Shavaev and Dmitry S0tF1k Forostyenko, were absent. Despite the unconventional setup, Spirit managed an impressive run to the semifinals before falling to Team Falcons.
The joke comes at a time when Astralis genuinely needs coaching staff. Their previous coach, Casper ruggah Due, departed from the organization in June, leaving the position open.
