Canadian esports organization Arctic Ace have completed a major roster overhaul, officially adding several players after weeks of lineup instability caused by unusual circumstances.
The team has brought Eduard "nico1ajus" Kuchynskyi aboard on a trial basis, while securing Timbis on loan from Team Fathom Gaming. Additionally, Basil "Bazz" Droulias joins as a substitute player, and Félix "Frøg" Bergeron returns to competitive CS2 in an analyst role.
The Canadian squad faced unprecedented challenges maintaining a stable roster as multiple players were called away to combat wildfires across Canada. Initially, Lukasz "Lukasz" Brodowicz departed for firefighting duties earlier this month. His absence prompted Christophe "Dodge" Mailhot to seek opportunities with a more stable team. Following Lukasz's return, Jon "cloudy" Kalacis received deployment orders to fight fires in British Columbia, leaving Arctic Ace short-handed once again.
This situation forced the organization to field nico1ajus and Timbis as temporary stand-ins last week before formalizing their positions. Nico1ajus previously competed for Outfit 49 in 2025, while Timbis has extensive experience with Team Fathom Gaming across Main and Advanced divisions. Bazz brings experience from his recent stint with DETONATE, which ended in March.
Retired coach Frøg makes his comeback after recently working with Team Canada as an analyst, now taking on the same role for Arctic Ace.
Currently holding a 1-1 record in ESEA Advanced Season 58, Arctic Ace hope their newly stabilized lineup will help them gain momentum. Their next match is scheduled against NZ on August 2nd.
