Team Vitality's in-game leader Dan 'apEX' Madesclaire has voiced his frustration regarding the upcoming map pool changes in Counter-Strike 2. The French captain took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on Valve's decision to swap Overpass for Cache.
The timing couldn't be worse for Vitality. Overpass currently ranks among their top three maps by win rate, with the team boasting an impressive 85.70% success rate over the past three months. Their recent performance on the map has been stellar, winning six out of seven matches.
Valve announced that Cache will join the official Premier mode map pool for Season 5, effectively replacing Overpass. The current fourth season is scheduled to end on July 6th, giving players limited time to adapt to the upcoming changes.
Players still have an opportunity to earn their seasonal medal before the transition. To qualify, competitors must secure at least 25 victories and maintain a visible CSR rating by the season's conclusion. The community now awaits to see how top teams will adjust their strategies once Cache returns to competitive play.
