BC.Game's journey at the Esports World Cup LAN qualifier came to an end after a challenging battle against 100 Thieves. Following a strong group stage performance and a dominant 2-0 victory over OG, they faced a much tougher test in their next playoff match.
The series kicked off on BC.Game's Inferno selection, where they converted a pistol round victory into an impressive 6-1 opening. Although 100 Thieves mounted a comeback, BC.Game maintained control with an 8-4 halftime lead. After 100 Thieves secured the second pistol and follow-up rounds, BC.Game regained momentum to close out their map pick 13-7.
On 100 Thieves' Nuke choice, BC.Game again jumped ahead early, building a 6-1 advantage. The opposition managed to narrow the deficit to 7-5 despite playing the challenging terrorist side. BC.Game won another pistol round, but 100 Thieves responded with six consecutive rounds to take an 11-8 lead. BC.Game fought back to reach map point, yet 100 Thieves forced overtime where they executed flawlessly, securing a 16-12 victory.
The decisive third map, Anubis, saw BC.Game claim their fourth pistol round of the match. The first half remained competitive, ending deadlocked at 6-6. After winning their fifth pistol, BC.Game pushed ahead 10-8, but Jack von Spreckelsen's squad demonstrated resilience, rallying to capture the map 13-11 and the series.
Despite the elimination, Oleksandr Kostyliev delivered an exceptional performance, finishing with 64 kills against 44 deaths, 87.5 average damage per round, and a 1.34 rating. Meanwhile, 100 Thieves advanced by defeating 1win to secure their Esports World Cup qualification.
