100 Thieves Exit StarSeries Fall Qualifier After Nuclear TigeRES Defeat

July 23, 20261 min read

100 Thieves have been eliminated from StarLadder StarSeries Fall contention after falling 1-2 to Nuclear TigeRES in the Europe qualifier's Group D.

Jack "Gizmy" von Spreckelsen's roster squandered multiple championship opportunities on Ancient, Nuclear TigeRES' map selection. Despite holding advantages at 12-10 and 15-14, they couldn't close out the map, ultimately losing in double overtime. Håvard "rain" Nygaard delivered an impressive 1.66 rating on Mirage to level the series, but 100 Thieves collapsed on the Inferno finale as Ilya "flouzer" Selifonov matched rain's dominant performance.

The elimination followed 100 Thieves' opening-round defeat to Ninjas in Pyjamas on Wednesday, which dropped them into the lower bracket. However, they rebounded spectacularly just hours later by defeating IEM Cologne Major champions Falcons in BLAST Bounty Season 2.

Unfortunately, that momentum evaporated heading into today's match. The elimination deals a significant setback to 100 Thieves' VRS ranking aspirations. They've also missed their chance to compete at StarSeries Fall, where they would have battled elite teams including Vitality, FURIA, and Natus Vincere on LAN for a share of the $500,000 prize pool.
