100 Thieves Eliminated from StarLadder Qualifier by Nuclear TigeRES

July 23, 20262 min read

Following their impressive performance against Falcons at BLAST Bounty Season 2, 100 Thieves returned to action in the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 Europe Closed Qualifier. However, their campaign came to an unexpected end as they fell to Nuclear TigeRES, currently ranked 45th globally.

The opening map Ancient turned into a nail-biter. Both teams battled to a 6-6 deadlock at halftime before 100 Thieves pushed ahead to claim map point at 12-10. Nuclear TigeRES refused to fold, forcing overtime where the advantage swung back and forth. Despite 100 Thieves reaching map point once more, Nuclear TigeRES rattled off five consecutive rounds to steal the map and take a crucial 1-0 series lead.

Mirage brought hope for the North American squad. Håvard "rain" Nygaard delivered a standout performance with 21 eliminations and an impressive 7.86% round swing contribution. His highlight came in round eight with a clutch 3K that helped propel 100 Thieves to a convincing 13-8 victory, leveling the series.

The decisive third map Inferno began poorly for 100 Thieves as Nuclear TigeRES established an 8-4 halftime advantage. Though the NA organization mounted a comeback attempt and nearly equalized the score, they couldn't sustain the pressure. Nuclear TigeRES regained control, reached match point, and closed out the series with a 13-7 scoreline to eliminate 100 Thieves from the qualifier.
