Vitality dominate MOUZ to claim ESL Pro League Season 24 crown

Vitality have secured the ESL Pro League Season 24 championship after demolishing MOUZ in a commanding best-of-five grand final sweep, taking Cache 13-7, Inferno 13-8, and Dust2 16-12.

This victory marks Vitality's second consecutive tournament win following their StarSeries Fall triumph in September, signaling their return to the elite form they showcased earlier this year. Team captain Dan "apEX" Madesclaire humorously thanked his partner and newborn baby for the timing in his post-match comments.

The action kicked off on Cache, where MOUZ surged to a 5-1 lead with aggressive CT-side plays. However, Vitality quickly found their rhythm, stringing together six straight rounds to claim the first half. Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut took over on defense, finishing the map with 21 frags, a 2.00 rating, and 107 average damage per round to seal a 13-7 victory.

Inferno followed a similar script. Shahar "flameZ" Shushan and apEX controlled Banana to build a 9-3 advantage. Despite MOUZ making the score respectable, Vitality remained composed to close out 13-8 after winning a crucial second-round force-buy.

Dust2 saw MOUZ start strong, but Vitality's relentless bombsite attacks wore them down. William "mezii" Merriman delivered a clutch triple kill to break open the site with seconds remaining. Dorian "xertioN" Berman fought valiantly to push MOUZ to triple map point, but Vitality's championship experience forced overtime. MOUZ crumbled in extra rounds, failing to secure any offensive rounds before falling 0-3 in the series.
