Regional LAN tournaments in the Asia VRS region are becoming increasingly competitive as teams battle for Major invite spots before the November 2 cutoff.

FlyQuest delivered an impressive performance at ANZC Locals Brisbane Season 2, sweeping through the competition without dropping a single map. The Australian squad, led by Alistair "aliStair" Johnston, earned 149 VRS points and now sit in fifth place, ahead of Lynn Vision and 5star. They defeated madlikewizards and Abyssal in the group stage, then eliminated KZG and Ground Zero en route to the finals, where they beat Abyssal 2-0 to claim the $3,555 first prize.

The team has two more regional events scheduled before the Major cutoff: DFRAG Logitech G Pro Series and DFRAG Invitational. They're competing for one of five Major invites alongside TYLOO, BC.Game, The MongolZ, Chinggis Warriors, 5star, and Lynn Vision, with all seven teams separated by less than 130 VRS points.

In Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the MESA Pro Series Fall witnessed a dramatic comeback from Chinggis Warriors. Despite losing to 5star in the opening round, Sodbileg "cool4st" Batbaatar's team fought through the lower bracket to defeat their rivals in the grand final, claiming $1,650 and 171 valuable VRS points. This victory propelled them to fourth place in the rankings, while 5star dropped to sixth with 94 points, falling below the Major invite threshold.

Chinggis Warriors are currently competing in ESL Challenger League Season 52 Asia-Pacific Cup 3, while 5star will next appear at the GLuck Moscow Cyber Games LAN alongside The Huns, HOTU, and 1win.
