Team Liquid Set Unwanted Record in 100 Thieves Matchup at Stake Pulse Beat III

October 13, 20262 min read

Team Liquid have written themselves into Counter-Strike history books once more, though this latest entry is one they'd prefer to forget. The North American organization suffered a devastating 0-13 scoreline on Dust 2 against 100 Thieves during the Group Stage of Stake Pulse Beat III.

The lopsided defeat comes just weeks after Liquid finally secured their first LAN championship in seven years at the fl0m Mythical event. Entering Stake Pulse as one of the tournament's top-seeded squads with only four teams ranked higher, expectations were elevated for the roster to build momentum heading into the PGL Singapore Major.

Facing 100 Thieves, who have already claimed two LAN titles in 2026, Liquid couldn't find any rhythm on the opening map. Keith "NAF" Markovic was the sole bright spot, managing to reach double-digit eliminations while his teammates struggled to make an impact.

The series wasn't over at the time of reporting, with both teams moving to Liquid's selection of Inferno. Currently positioned at rank 27 in the VRS standings, the squad will be desperate to turn things around and salvage the match with a potential third map.

After defeating BBL in their opening fixture, this stumble against 100 Thieves represents a significant setback for Liquid's campaign at Stake Pulse Beat III. The team will need to regroup quickly if they hope to qualify for the Playoffs and continue building confidence before the upcoming Major.
