Astralis have officially completed their roster overhaul by bringing in Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek and Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov, returning to full competitive strength just in time for Stake Pulse Beat III.
The signings confirm earlier reports that the pair would replace Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen and Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard, marking a significant shift in the organization's direction. Both departing players have been moved to the bench.
In a notable role change, cmtry will transition from AWPing to rifling duties, with Love "phzy" Smidebrant retaining primary sniper responsibilities. The Ukrainian arrives from FUT, where he was benched in early October to accommodate Álvaro "SunPayus" García. The positional switch comes during a challenging period in his career, offering a fresh start with new responsibilities.
siuhy became available after leaving Liquid on October 2, ending a tenure of just over a year. His time with the North American squad was marked by struggles, including early tournament eliminations, team chemistry issues, and particularly weak performances on the terrorist side.
This marks a historic moment for Astralis, as the roster will not feature a Danish majority for the first time in the organization's history. However, the team enters this new chapter with momentum, having secured an invite to PGL Major Singapore after their victory at Stake Ranked Episode 4.
The revamped lineup will make its debut at Stake Pulse Beat III, where they face Sashi in their opening match as part of Group C.
