In an unexpected development, Sashi have registered for the NSTLGA San Antonio tournament set to kick off on October 30th, following weeks of controversy surrounding their regional switch.
The Danish organization made headlines earlier this month by attempting to follow BC.Game's strategy of moving to Asia's less competitive landscape. Their approach involved signing two Australian players on temporary deals and leveraging Anton "Anlelele" Huynh's Vietnamese citizenship to qualify through the Asian region.
However, Valve intervened on October 6th with new regulations that effectively blocked Sashi's path to PGL Major Singapore. While BC.Game received special permission to bypass these rules, Sashi's Major qualification status remains uncertain.
Since the regulatory crackdown, the organization has doubled down on their Asian strategy by bringing in New Zealand's Michael "chelleos" Hawkins, solidifying their commitment to an Asia-Pacific roster.
Interestingly, Sashi are simultaneously registered for HyperX Retake Season 13 in Portugal, which starts just one day before the Texas event, though their attendance appears doubtful.
The NSTLGA Texas Open now features a competitive lineup including LAG, regain, Zomblers, and NuTorious alongside Sashi.
