Nearly twelve months have passed since Maidar "nocries" Baldanov successfully completed his FACEIT integrity assessment at their New York headquarters. Now, FACEIT has published a follow-up conversation with the aspiring competitor, exploring his experiences over the past year and outlining his competitive aspirations.
During the discussion, the Buryat sniper expressed his determination to compete at the highest levels of Counter-Strike 2, targeting multiple championship victories throughout his career. His strategic plan involves establishing himself within the North American scene initially, with intentions to eventually transition back to European competition.
The interview also shed light on nocries' recent efforts to break into professional play. He confirmed participating in practice sessions with both a European organization and a North American squad, though neither opportunity materialized into a formal roster position. His current enrollment in university studies may be influencing team decisions, potentially complicated by visa considerations that could restrict his availability or mobility.
Despite these challenges, nocries remains unsigned and hasn't yet recorded an official match appearance on HLTV statistics. The road to professional status clearly stretches ahead for the young talent. Nevertheless, his mechanical prowess could make him a prospect worth monitoring if he successfully adapts his individual abilities to coordinated competitive environments and masters the collaborative dynamics essential for elite-level play.
