Team Liquid has successfully navigated the Stake Pulse Beat III group stage, earning their place in the single-elimination playoffs despite a rocky path that included both dominant victories and crushing defeats.
The team's journey began with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over BBL. After dropping Nuke 9-13 in a close contest that saw them trailing after a 6-6 first half, Liquid bounced back on their Mirage pick. NAF led the charge with an impressive 1.47 rating as Liquid dominated the T-side 11-1 before closing out the map 13-8. The decider on Cache turned into a thrilling overtime battle, with both teams trading dominant 11-1 halves before Liquid clutched it out 16-14.
Their next match against 100 Thieves proved more challenging. A brutal 13-0 shutout on Dust2 completely swung the momentum, though Liquid managed to recover on their Inferno pick, winning 13-8 after a strong 8-4 first half. However, they couldn't maintain their composure on the final map Mirage, settling for a 6-6 CT-side before falling 9-13 to drop the series 1-2.
Facing elimination in the lower bracket, Liquid regrouped against JiJieHao and delivered a convincing 2-0 sweep. They overcame early struggles on Mirage to edge out a 13-11 victory, then completely dominated Cache with a 10-2 T-side start, cruising to a 13-2 finish.
Liquid now prepares for their single-elimination bracket match scheduled for Friday.
