FISSURE has revealed plans for its fourth Counter-Strike Playground tournament, slated to run from August 18 through August 30, 2027. The competition will bring together 16 teams competing for a share of $1.25 million distributed across prize money, club rewards, and participation bonuses.
The field will include 15 squads invited directly based on their VRS standings, alongside one team emerging from a closed qualifier. Invitations will be determined by the initial monthly VRS rankings published in July 2027, with spots allocated from the top of the global leaderboard. Eight additional teams will compete through the European VRS in an online closed qualifier for the final LAN berth.
Georgia has been designated as the visa region for the event, though no specific venue has been announced yet.
The $1.25 million total breaks down into $450,000 in direct prize money, $550,000 allocated to club rewards, and $250,000 reserved for teams ranked in the VRS top eight. The winning team will collect $165,000 in prize money combined with $135,000 in club rewards, totaling $300,000 before any VRS participation bonuses are applied.
Second place receives $75,000 plus $85,000 club share, while third earns $50,000 and $60,000 respectively. Teams finishing between fifth and eighth place will each take home $20,000 plus $33,500 in club rewards.
VRS participation payments provide additional incentives, ranging from $60,000 for the world's top-ranked team down to $10,000 each for teams ranked seventh and eighth. FISSURE also confirmed dates of August 17-28, 2028, for another Counter-Strike tournament, with details pending.
